The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning and delivering comprehensive nursing care, which includes following Licensed Independent Provider's orders, administering medications, and assisting with patient examinations and treatments. The RN must use appropriate nursing techniques and supervisory skills to care for and refer to inmates/residents. They are authorized to perform all clinical procedures within the scope of their licensure and education.
To be considered for this position, the candidate must be able to proficiently perform all of the job functions listed below:

• Apply nursing skills to provide quality care to inmates/residents
• Attend physician sick calls, organize patient rosters, and prepare examination rooms and equipment
• Assess and evaluate newly admitted or ill/injured inmates/residents, and refer them to appropriate medical facilities when necessary
• Respond to medical emergencies and consult with the Licensed Independent Provider for treatment orders
• Supervise and oversee the nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff

The candidate must have graduated from an accredited college or university nursing program and possess a degree/diploma in nursing. Current licensure in the state of employment is required, and at least one year of professional nursing experience is preferred. Additionally, a valid driver's license is necessary for this role.
Position is a 12 hour Night Shift.
