Job Title: Business Intelligence Project Manager
Location: Madison, WI (100% Remote within State of WI)
Description:
Our client is seeking a results-oriented and adaptable individual with a 'can-do' attitude to lead business intelligence projects. This Project Manager will oversee multiple projects, ranging from small to multi-million-dollar development efforts. The ideal candidate will lead the business intelligence development team and work closely with business partners to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage technical and overall project management for enterprise-wide business intelligence applications and architecture.
- Develop project charters, plans, deliverables, and other project artifacts.
- Work closely with the project sponsor and IT senior management to understand and prioritize project tasks.
- Solve complex technical problems, understand business objectives, identify alternative solutions, and perform feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis.
- Build an effective team and direct the project team to meet milestones.
- Develop standards, policies, and procedures for business intelligence documentation, tools, and systems.
- Create data/information quality metrics.
- Research new technology and develop business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12 years of project management experience with large and complex database management systems and business intelligence tools.
- PMP certification required.
- 5 years of experience in change management and implementing large, complex models and processes.
- Proficiency with MS Office products: Excel, Outlook, MS Project.
- At least 5 years of experience in user testing, system testing, and user acceptance test plans.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data warehouse design, development, and requirements gathering.
- Knowledge of Kimball data warehouse design principles.
- In-depth knowledge of system development life cycle deliverables for each phase of development.
- Demonstrated experience in the design and utilization of performance measures and reports.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
