Job Details:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Permanent Project Engineer for our Healthcare Construction division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ground up construction, specifically in the healthcare sector, and will be responsible for managing and executing OSHPD/HCAi Healthcare Construction Projects. This role is integral to our team, contributing to the planning, design, and execution of healthcare construction projects, including seismic retrofitting. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for healthcare construction, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all aspects of healthcare construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that all projects adhere to the highest standards of safety and quality.
2. Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Oversee the preparation and submission of project documentation, including plans, reports, and permits.
4. Ensure compliance with OSHPD regulations and standards for all healthcare construction projects.
5. Utilize HCAi to manage project information and documentation, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
6. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project specifications.
7. Manage seismic retrofitting projects, ensuring that all construction activities align with safety regulations and standards.
8. Resolve any issues or challenges that arise throughout the project lifecycle, employing effective problem-solving skills and technical knowledge.
9. Participate in project budgeting and cost estimation processes, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare construction.
3. Proven experience managing ground up construction projects, specifically in the healthcare sector.
4. Solid knowledge of OSHPD regulations and standards, with experience managing OSHPD Healthcare Construction Projects.
5. Experience with HCAi and other project management software.
6. Familiarity with seismic retrofitting in the context of healthcare construction.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
9. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
10. A commitment to safety and quality, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to project management.
