Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Professional Land Surveyor to join our well-established engineering team! This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals on a variety of projects, providing key surveying expertise.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed surveys, preparing reports and maps, and working closely with engineering teams.

This role requires a thorough understanding of land surveying principles and practices, as well as experience with TXDot.

Responsibilities :

1. Conduct and manage detailed land and boundary surveys for various engineering projects.

2. Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.

3. Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.

4. Coordinate with civil engineers in the preparation of site plans and layouts.

5. Interpret blueprints and construction plans, providing clear and concise feedback to the engineering team.

6. Utilize state-of-the-art surveying and mapping tools and software.

7. Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior surveying staff.

8. Ensure adherence to local and national surveying and land use regulations and guidelines.

9. Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders to understand project objectives and deliver accurate survey data.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

2. A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Professional Land Surveyor.

3. Current licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS).

4. Experienced in TxDOT, roadway, boundary surveys, topographic mapping, etc.

5. Proficiency with Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, GeoPak, and ProjectWise software.

6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

7. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

8. Familiarity with local and national land use laws and regulations.
