Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Production Planner to join our thriving manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow of operations, optimizing manufacturing processes, and maintaining inventory levels. This role requires a hands-on approach, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of supply chain management. The candidate will be instrumental in enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and improving our overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize manufacturing resources.
2. Utilize ERP systems to analyze and forecast production needs, track inventory levels, and manage material requirements.
3. Implement and manage a Kanban system for inventory control and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
4. Perform cycle counts regularly to ensure inventory accuracy and assist in the resolution of any discrepancies.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, and quality control to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
6. Analyze and evaluate production metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions to improve performance.
7. Participate in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, advancements in technology, and changes in regulations that may impact production planning and operations.
9. Use Syteline or equivalent software for production planning and scheduling tasks.
10. Prepare and present regular reports on production planning activities and performance metrics to senior management.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is desired but not required.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing processes, and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
3. Certification in APICS CPIM is highly desirable.
4. Proficiency in ERP systems, Syteline software, and other production planning tools.
5. Extensive knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Supply Chain Management.
6. Proven experience in implementing and managing Kanban systems.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
9. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
10. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
