We are a renowned legal firm seeking an experienced Permanent Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dedicated team. You will be responsible for handling cases from intake through trial, making this a truly dynamic and engaging position.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Permanent Personal Injury Paralegal, you will be entrusted with a vast array of responsibilities that are crucial to our firm's success. These include
  • Managing a substantial caseload of personal injury cases, including those involving medical malpractice.
  • Conducting the intake process for new clients, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded and processed.
  • Assisting attorneys with the preparation of legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Coordinating and attending client meetings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Conducting legal research and investigations related to personal injury cases.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of NJ Case law and other relevant legislation.
  • Collaborating with attorneys, clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and court personnel to ensure the smooth progression of cases.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in the field of personal injury law.
  • Proficiency in managing a substantial caseload, with a focus on personal injury and medical malpractice cases.
  • Familiarity with the intake process and the ability to manage cases from intake through trial.
  • In-depth knowledge of NJ Case law, especially as it pertains to personal injury and medical malpractice.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • A paralegal certificate or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
