Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP, a major Delaware law firm with a diverse business practice, seeks an experienced Paralegal to join our Corporate Litigation Group.This role is crucial in assisting the Corporate Litigation practice attorneys with all phases and aspects of complex corporate litigation work.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide attorneys, members of the practice group, and other professional staff with various administrative and case support by handling complex tasks and projects throughout all phases and aspects of corporate litigation work.
  • Create and implement all elements of the case management system, including file management (electronic), case calendaring, task lists, and related deadlines.
  • Assist in the preparation of pleadings and complete daily assignments related to supporting active litigation matters and preparing for trials.
  • Act as a liaison to clients, counsel, and courts regarding case issues.
  • Perform a full range of paralegal tasks for corporate litigation cases.
  • Prepare exhibit and hearing binders, both physical and electronic.
  • Prepare for and attend trials.
RE Q UIRE M E NTS :
  • Paralegal Certificate required.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of paralegal experience in a corporate litigation area.
  • Experience e-filing in the DE courts. Chancery Court experience is a must.
  • Familiarity with DE court rules
  • Solid proofreading skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure with or without direct supervision and ability to multitask
  • Availability to work overtime on weeknights and weekends
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
