We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our engineering industry team. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance on industrial equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems with equipment
- Repair and replace faulty parts and components as needed
- Maintain and repair hydraulic systems and components
- Work with unionized workforce to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Fabricate and weld steel components as needed
- Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal productivity
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity

- 3 years of experience in maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components
- Experience with hydraulic systems and components
- Proficient in welding and fabrication of steel components
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with a unionized workforce
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records
