Job Details
Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts according to specified blueprints and designs.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and consistency, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Perform regular maintenance on machines, tools, and equipment to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and longevity.
• Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to understand product specifications and adjust machining strategies accordingly.
• Use precision tools, machinery, and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, grinder, and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
• Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
• Continually improve processes for increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Machinist/Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in programming and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Extensive knowledge of machine operation and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent understanding of the properties and handling of metals and other materials.
• Proficient in using precision tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Strong mathematical skills, particularly in geometry and trigonometry.
• A commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work for extended periods.
• A valid machinist certification will be a plus.
