Job Details:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Litigation Attorney to join our fast-paced legal firm. In this role, you will be responsible for representing our clients in a wide range of commercial litigation matters, managing case preparation, and developing effective litigation strategies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and a proven track record in attending hearings, depositions, and mediations. If you are a strategic thinker with exceptional negotiation skills, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all phases of the litigation process including investigation, pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, settlement, and trial.
2. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits.
3. Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations, and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
4. Provide legal advice to clients and advise on the potential impact of legal decisions.
5. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
6. Draft and review various legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, affidavits, and briefs.
7. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, and communicate with clients regularly to understand their needs and objectives.
8. Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to achieve successful outcomes.
9. Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the smooth running of all legal proceedings.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial litigation.
3. Licensed to practice law in the state.
4. Proven experience in attending hearings, depositions, and mediations.
5. In-depth knowledge of civil litigation and procedural law.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to advocate persuasively.
8. Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
10. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
