Perm: Salary $180-200k bonus

• DMV Area (Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia) - Hybrid (On-site and Remote - ability to come in to office in McLean, VA or Client office in Georgetown 2 days/week)

Job Summary:
We're on the hunt for a highly skilled and motivated leader in Network Security and Solutions Architecture to define the strategy for our customers. Lead Network Security Engineer, with a robust background in network security, especially in utilizing PaloAltoNetworks and Cisco technologies. Your role will center on crafting, deploying, and overseeing secure network architectures, focusing on PaloAltoNetworks PCNSE and Prisma Access solutions, alongside Cisco CCNP/CCIE Enterprise and Security technologies. A crucial part of your responsibilities will be spearheading migration projects from other vendors to PaloAltoNetworks Strata firewalls using Expedition and IronSkillet configurations. This position is based in the vibrant DMV area, offering a blend of on-site and remote work options.
Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, deploy, and manage secure network infrastructures using PaloAltoNetworks and Cisco technologies.
• Configure and maintain PaloAltoNetworks firewalls and Prisma Access solutions for secure and efficient remote access.
• Lead migration initiatives from other vendors to PaloAltoNetworks Strata firewalls, leveraging Expedition for migration assistance and IronSkillet for base configurations.
• Implement and maintain Cisco Campus, WAN, and wireless networks, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
• Employ network security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to grasp business needs and deliver secure networking solutions.
• Document network configurations, processes, and procedures meticulously.
• Keep abreast of the latest in security threats, technologies, and trends to bolster network security.

Qualifications:

• Solid experience as a Network Security Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on network migrations.
• Required certification in PaloAltoNetworks PCNSE.
• Proven experience with PaloAltoNetworks Prisma Access and Strata firewalls.
• Demonstrated capability in migrating from other vendors to PaloAltoNetworks using Expedition and deploying IronSkillet configurations.
• Cisco CCNP or CCIE Enterprise/Security certification is mandatory.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining Cisco Campus, WAN, and wireless networks.
• Familiarity with deployment automation tools and technologies is highly regarded.
• Comprehensive understanding of network protocols, IPsec, SSL VPNs, and firewall management.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the capacity to perform under pressure.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
