We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our team in the Energy Industry. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the strategic planning and decision-making process of a fast-paced, growing organization. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the financial health of our organization, providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, and business case development.
  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into drivers of revenue and cost.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting.
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
  • Use Power BI and other data visualization tools to present financial data in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
  • Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Participate in special projects as required, including the evaluation of potential acquisitions and investments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, forecasting, financial modeling, and data analysis.
  • Experience in the Energy industry is strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity.
