We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Electrical/Design Engineer to join our team in the construction industry. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, ranging from residential to commercial buildings. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components to ensure they meet project requirements and standards. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and has a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for construction projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and adhere to all relevant codes and standards.
- Create detailed electrical drawings and specifications for construction teams to follow.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into overall project design.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure electrical systems are installed correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Utilize software and design tools to model and simulate electrical systems, identifying any potential issues or improvements.
- Continually monitor industry trends and advancements in technology to recommend and implement new design methodologies.
- Provide technical support and consultation to construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and findings to clients and stakeholders.
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical design, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards governing electrical system design in construction.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
