Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Director of Finance to join our Casino industry team. As the Director of Finance, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial operations and ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, where your expertise and strategic thinking will be key to our success.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management: Oversee all accounting activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency. Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and make recommendations for improvement.
2. Annual Budget: Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with various departments to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy. Monitor budget performance throughout the year, identifying and addressing any variances or discrepancies. Provide regular reports and analysis to senior management.
3. Assist with Annual Audit: Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a smooth and successful audit process. Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and other supporting documentation. Address any audit findings and implement necessary improvements to internal controls.
4. SEC Filings: Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and other financial information for SEC filings. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and reporting requirements. Coordinate with legal counsel and external auditors to complete filings accurately and on time.
5. Financial Planning and Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making and strategic planning. Evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and recommend actions to optimize financial results. Develop financial models and forecasts to support long-term planning and investment decisions.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA qualification is highly preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in the legal industry. Proven experience in overseeing accounting activities, annual budgeting, and assisting with annual audits. Familiarity with SEC filings and regulations is essential.
3. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Proven experience in leading and managing finance teams effectively.
4. Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide valuable insights to senior management. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
6. Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Resilience to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
