A bit about us:
A large Hotel/Resort with multiple locations across the U.S. is hiring two Directors of Finance, for two separate locations. Locations include Greenville, South Carolina and Stone Mountain Georgia. This is a fully onsite position.
Paid relocation assistance offered for strong candidates.

Job Details:
We are seeking an experienced and hands on Director of Finance with a proven track record in the hotel and resorts industry. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a leading role in shaping our financial future. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, reporting on revenue, training accounting staff, budgeting, disbursing funds to departments, managing risk, implementing policies, and improving financial processes. This role is a key member of the senior leadership team and will be instrumental in driving the company's financial strategy and hiring needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, direct, and manage all aspects of the financial and accounting functions of the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Prepare all financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with the executive management team to develop strategic plans and forecasts, and then manage the budgeting process based on these.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Regularly conduct financial analyses and provide advice and guidance on financial trends and operational adjustments due to financial performance.
  • Oversee the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and non-organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven record of success in the hotel/resorts industry.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field highly desired, but will consider a strong candidate with 10 years of experience in a Director level role without a degree.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, strategic planning, and budgeting.
  • Solid experience in leadership roles with a focus on team development, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Proficiency in corporate finance, financial reporting, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are mandatory.
  • Strong strategic planning skills coupled with an extensive understanding of business strategy.
  • Ability to work with different business units to enhance and streamline financial processes.
  • Must have a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience with contracts and leases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial employees.
