We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Corporate Associate Attorney to play a pivotal role in our corporate law practice. This position is perfect for someone with a strong background in corporate law, specifically with substantial experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) related to private companies. The ideal candidate will have the Virginia bar, with 2-5 years of experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel and support on a broad range of corporate matters with a focus on M&A activities for private companies.
• Managing and overseeing the execution of all aspects of M&A, including due diligence, negotiation, and closing of deals.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and providing them with exceptional general corporate representation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various corporate documents and transactions.
• Engage in a client-facing role, offering advice and solutions directly to our diverse client base.
• Enjoy the autonomy and independence to develop a niche within corporate law, tailoring your practice to areas you are passionate about.

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed to practice in Virginia (bar admissions in MD or DC are a plus but not required).
• 2-5 years of experience in corporate law, ideally with significant exposure to M&A for private companies. Candidates with up to 7 years of experience will be considered.
• Strong document drafting and negotiation skills.
• A self-starter who is comfortable working independently but will benefit from our supportive and collaborative environment.
