Job Details
As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. Your primary responsibilities will include building and maintaining strong client relationships, assessing insurance needs, and ensuring effective coverage solutions. This position requires strong insurance knowledge to provide tailored risk management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing proactive communication.
Collaborate with clients to understand their business operations, risk exposures, and insurance requirements.
Insurance Portfolio Management
Analyze and assess clients' existing insurance portfolios to identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
Develop and implement comprehensive insurance programs that align with clients' risk management strategies.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of client policies, endorsements, and coverage summaries.
Policy Renewals and Negotiation
Manage the renewal process, including negotiating terms, premiums, and coverage enhancements with underwriters.
Provide clients with comprehensive renewal proposals and alternative coverage options.
Analyze and compare policy quotes to ensure competitive and cost-effective solutions.
Risk Analysis and Assessment
Conduct thorough risk assessments for clients.
Collaborate with risk engineering and underwriting teams to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks affecting clients.
Claims Management
Facilitate the claims process by assisting clients in reporting and managing claims.
Work closely with claims adjusters to ensure timely and fair resolution of claims.
Provide support to clients during the claims process, advocating on their behalf.
Market Knowledge and Networking
Stay abreast of industry developments, market trends, and insurance products.
Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build relationships and stay informed.
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and industry standards.
Maintain accurate client files, documentation, and records in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
Relevant insurance industry certifications (e.g., CIC, CRM) are a plus.
In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and risk management strategies.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze complex risks and develop tailored insurance solutions.
Proficient in insurance software and Microsoft Office applications.
