Are you a seasoned Civil Estimator with a passion for construction and a knack for numbers? We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Civil Estimator to join our dynamic team. You will be playing a crucial role in our preconstruction process. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in some of the most innovative civil construction projects. You will be working with a team of passionate professionals who are committed to pushing the boundaries of the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
As a Civil Estimator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
1. Preparing detailed cost estimates of civil construction projects from conceptual design to completion.
2. Reviewing and interpreting civil design drawings and technical specifications.
3. Utilizing software tools such as AutoCAD and Bluebeam to assist in the estimation process.
4. Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and architects during the preconstruction phase.
5. Analyzing and evaluating subcontractor bids and proposals.
6. Performing risk and opportunity assessments to support project decision-making.
7. Providing grading and site concrete estimates.
8. Participating in proposal presentations and client meetings.
9. Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitive bids, and pricing strategies.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil estimating or a related field.
2. Proven experience with civil construction projects.
3. Proficiency in using estimating software such as AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
4. Solid understanding of civil construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
5. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
8. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
