A Civil Engineer position in Tampa, FL is available at KWC Engineers. You must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Professional Engineer Certification (PE) in the state of Florida, and a minimum of five years of experience supervising and running a survey crew for design, mapping, and construction projects. This is a full-time role with an annual compensation range of $90,000 to $130,000, depending on experience. KWC Engineers is a civil engineering firm providing consulting, planning, and other engineering construction services to clients in the private and public sectors throughout Southern California and the state of Florida. Responsibilities:
· Utilize AutoCAD/Civil 3D to assist in the preparation of structural and civil engineering details, design plans, reports, and meeting exhibits.
· Work with descriptions, survey data, aerial photographs to create final plans and maps for land development.
· Digitize as-built civil drawings, including utility and structural drawings.
· Work regularly in the field to conduct physical site surveys, prepare sketches and notes, and perform data collection.
· Coordinate job walks for pricing, work, schedules, or inspections with vendors, contractors, and building officials.
· Use measurements of surveying equipment to determine property lines and boundaries.
· Ensure guidance systems are maintained and accurate using survey equipment and tunnel guidance software.
· Prepare technical reports and calculations (i.e., hydrology/hydraulics, WQMO, SWPP, and water & sewer).
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
· Professional Engineer (PE) Certification.
· At least 5 years of progressive project engineering experience with an emphasis in civil design, including drainage, utility, roadway, and land development design.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Civil Design, H2OMap Sewer, and Water.
· Proven knowledge in hydrology/hydraulic analysis, design methods and water quality low impact development applications.
· Survey experience.
· Acute attention to detail.
· Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning, teamwork, and communication skills.
· Experience in engineering design for land development projects.
· Problem solving, sound judgment, decision-making, communication, and team building skills.
