Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Billing Specialist, your core responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
1. Managing all aspects of billing for the law firm, including preparing, finalizing, and sending out client invoices.
2. Collaborating closely with attorneys and other team members to ensure accurate and timely billing.
3. Following up with insurance billing sites to ensure prompt payment of invoices.
4. Resolving any billing discrepancies or errors in a timely and efficient manner.
5. Reviewing and updating client billing guidelines and ensuring compliance with these guidelines.
6. Maintaining up-to-date records of all billing activities.
7. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts related to billing.
8. Providing excellent customer service to clients, addressing and resolving any billing queries or issues they may have.
9. Collaborating with the finance team on various projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 1 years of experience in a billing role, preferably within a law firm or professional services firm.
2. Proven experience with insurance billing and follow-up with insurance billing sites.
3. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
4. Strong knowledge of billing procedures and best practices.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve billing discrepancies effectively.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and clients.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with billing software.
8. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is highly desirable.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. High level of discretion and confidentiality.
