We are actively seeking a seasoned Permanent Associate Attorney specializing in Worker's Compensation to join our dynamic legal team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and challenging cases, providing legal support and representation to clients who have suffered injuries at work. The successful candidate will be a part of a highly skilled team, managing a diverse caseload while working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
ResponsibilitiesAs an Associate Attorney, you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks, including but not limited to
  • Providing legal representation to clients in worker's compensation cases, ensuring their rights are protected and they receive the benefits they are entitled to.
  • Conducting extensive legal research and analysis to prepare for case hearings and trials.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.
  • Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients and representing them in court hearings and trials.
  • Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Staying updated with changes in laws and regulations related to worker's compensation and using this knowledge to advise clients and shape legal strategies.
  • Providing counsel and advice to clients on matters related to worker's compensation and insurance coverage.
  • Working closely with insurance companies to ensure clients receive appropriate coverage and benefits.
QualificationsTo be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney specializing in worker's compensation.
  • Active member of the Georgia State Bar in good standing.
  • Proven experience in law and motion practice, insurance coverage, and worker's compensation.
  • Strong understanding of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, and government regulations related to worker's compensation.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successful settlement negotiations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a large caseload, meet tight deadlines, and work well under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
