Are you a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a knack for numbers and a passion for finance? We are currently seeking a dynamic Contract Accounting Clerk to join our fast-paced, high-energy team. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your accounting skills and gain valuable experience in a variety of financial tasks. You will be responsible for managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, handling payroll, and performing credit card reconciliations. In addition, you will be tasked with creating invoices, preparing and depositing checks, and posting fundraising payments. You will also communicate regularly with other accounting staff to meet monthly deadlines in a timely manner. Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Handle payroll duties and ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time
• Perform credit card reconciliations on a regular basis
• Create and send out invoices to clients
• Prepare and deposit checks and other forms of payment
• Post fundraising payments accurately and efficiently
• Communicate with other accounting staff to ensure monthly deadlines are met
• Reconcile grant accounts and maintain accurate records of grant accounting
• Use QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to maintain financial records and create reports

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll
• Experience with credit card reconciliations and grant accounting
• Ability to create invoices and prepare checks for deposit
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a team
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work
• Knowledge of fundraising payment posting is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
