We are looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Food and Beverage Director for Lyle Washington DC. Our preferred candidate would have luxury or independent hotel/hospitality experience in the Washington DC market.
Our ideal Assistant Food and Beverage Director thrives in a non-stop environment, has an open mind, a great sense of humor, loves finding solutions, working with a team, and proactively creating positive outcomes.
The ability to be adaptable, calm under pressure, resourceful and efficient is in your DNA.
Core Essential Functions:
•Develop steps of service and training standards.
•Experience with accurate forecasting and financial reporting in a Hotel environment.
•Achievement of budgeted food sales, beverage sales, labor costs and profitability.
•Hire and lead your F&B managers to meet all goals.
•Ensure all restaurants are fully staffed and trained to Riggs standards.
•Mentor, train and coach your team.
•Ensure HR policies are observed and F&B payroll is submitted timely.
•Responsible for P&L statements for the entire Food & Beverage operation.
•Ensure all F&B areas follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Requirements:
Must have experience as a Director or F&B in a hotel and experience running
independent restaurants. The ability to communicate is essential and candidates
must be comfortable with financial reporting. A self-starting personality with
an even disposition and a great sense of humor is a must. Able to maintain a
professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with
guests and colleagues. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with
their duties and be a team player.
