Our company is seeking a Permanent EHS Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is passionate about the environment, health, and safety, and who is keen to make a lasting impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

The EHS Specialist will be responsible for managing and implementing our comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

1. Implement, manage, and maintain EHS programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues, and develop corrective action plans.

3. Manage and oversee hazardous waste, storm water pollution prevention, solid waste water, and industrial hygiene programs.

4. Monitor wastewater discharge, non-contact cooling water, air emissions, and TRI reporting.

5. Coordinate the management of waste streams, solid waste streams, storm water, and controlled substances.

6. Oversee the handling and disposal of oil, coolants, and oil-contaminated water.

7. Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees.

8. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions.

9. Participate in emergency response planning and drills.

10. Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.

2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an EHS role.

3. Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.

4. Experience in managing hazardous waste, storm water pollution prevention, solid waste water, and industrial hygiene programs.

5. Familiarity with wastewater discharge, non-contact cooling water, air emissions, and TRI reporting.

6. Experience in managing waste streams, solid waste streams, storm water, and controlled substances.

7. Proficiency in handling and disposing of oil, coolants, and oil-contaminated water.

8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

9. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

11. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is a plus.
