Job's House of Prosperity is Hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Near Oakdale, MN

The role of the Registered Nurse is to help individuals live in their own homes, identify, and implement best practices by improving the quality of their lives. The RN is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning implementation, training, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with the Job’s House team, client’s guardian if necessary, and other providers to plan, implement and evaluate care as needed. The RN will demonstrate competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilize age appropriate and population specific standards as designated in their assigned setting. Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis and treatment, and medication monitoring. Responsible for coordination of care, resident assessment, education and various nursing interventions for clients at Job’s House.

Registered Nursing Job Responsibilities:

  • Observe and record patient behaviors as needed
  • Collect patient health history
  • Counsel and educate patients and/or guardians and support team on treatment plans
  • Administer medications as required, change wounds dressings and care when necessary
  • Read and interpret patient information to make treatment decisions when appropriate
  • Consult with care team of clients as needed pertaining to care provided to clients at Job’s House
  • Observe and assess clients/patients
  • Effective comprehensive nursing care plans for clients
  • Administer treatment and medications as necessary, including injections
  • Monitor and report symptoms and changes in patient status
  • Modify treatment plans where indicated as needed
  • Educate and instruct clients on home care needs relevant to their treatment
  • Communicate with Pharmacist on any changes or updates to clients medications
  • Oversee Supervisor relating administration of medications, ensure MARS are signed off on accurately
  • Ensure supervisors has uploaded monthly MARS
  • Quarterly medication reviews
  • Ensure health needs records are created and maintained efficiently
  • Provide medication trainings to all staff including newly hired staff

  • Depending on part time or full time status (added and discussed as needed)

RN Skills and Qualifications:

  • Need to be organized
  • RN need to be kind and compassionate, considerate , sympathetic, non judgmental in order to comfort the client to better meet their need
  • Good communication skills in order to interact with other healthcare providers and, patients, and doctors as needed
  • Patience to make good decisions related to client care
  • Ability to analyze, review, and judge different situations they face and make sound decisions related to patient care and situation
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Knowledge of relevant nursing care
  • Friendly and professional manner
  • Maintains current CPR certification
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills
  • Understands legal implications of care
  • Has working knowledge of person centered support
  • Experience with working independently in a person’s own home
  • Must be aware and familiar with clients illnesses or disabilities
  • Monitoring vital signs of clients and recording appropriately
  • Assist in the direction, supervision and nursing care provided to the residents
  • Ensuring compliance with all State and Federal guidelines
  • Ensuring confidentiality and privacy rights of residents are observed and enforced
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient records as needed
  • Adhere to infection control protocols
  • More duties as assigned

RN Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must have earned the minimum of associates degree in nursing, accredited institution or approved nursing program, but preferably BA along with state licensure as a RN.
  • Licensed as a RN or LPN and in good standing with Board of Nursing
  • Must have excellent computer and communication skills
  • Relevant experience

Additional Skills and Experience: (Preferred)

  • State licensure through National Council Licensure Examination (NCLE) for Registered Nurses
  • Meet all other criteria and training required by Minnesota
  • Have training that meet the need of the job position at Job’s House
  • Meet all requirements of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • BLS, CPR, and ALS Certification

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
