Our Bedford, MA based client in the healthcare industry is looking to hire several Medical Billing Specialists on a direct hire basis as soon as possible. These openings would be Monday through Friday traditional office hour positions and the client traditionally moves very quickly through the interview process.

Qualifications needed include:

• The ideal candidate will have strong technological skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and experience in third-party billing
• Ability to troubleshoot and remedy detailed documents
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Ability to perform data in billing software
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior word processing, spreadsheet and internet software experience including proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word

Responsibilities include:

• Work with a team of fellow medical billers, administrators, and coders to provide cutting edge solutions that will directly improve the healthcare industry
• Review/work denials on an explanation of benefits (EOB)
• Analyze A/R (Accounts Receivable) reports to follow up on unpaid claims
• Send out appeals on claims that require an appeal
• Submit required documentation to insurance companies as requested
• Research claims for information in order to process bills in a timely manner
• Communicate with insurance companies, adjustors and patients on a regular basis
• Correct errors and resubmit all unprocessed or returned claims to insurance companies
• Create UB92 and HCFA bills
