JMES Telecom Contracting LLC is Hiring an Electrical Apprentice Near Sacramento, CA

Core Responsibilities: Assist in the process of installation, upgrades, maintenance and inspection services for commercial, residential, and wireless cell sites. Must be able to take direction and function at high levels in a fast paced, team environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • All task associated with an electrical apprentice/helper. Conduit install (Above and below ground), Trenching, cable pulling and terminations, grounding and other task's.
  • Perform power upgrades and generator installs with assistance. On the job training will be provided.
  • Knowledge with use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment
  • Install, connect and test underground and above ground grounding systems
  • Read construction drawings, site plans, drawings and redlines as needed
  • Must be able to complete all on-site closeout package photo requirements
  • Responsible for truck and tool inventory as well as overall job site cleanliness
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external partners
  • Following instructions accurately and complete projects in a timely manner
  • Strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company safety policies
  • Ability to travel throughout California, and work in extreme weather conditions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Maintain and enforce safety practices
  • Ability to pass a drug and background screening
  • Willingness to learn new processes, skills, software, and technologies
  • OSHA Construction 10 Hour Safety Certification preferred
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
  • Valid Drivers License with clean driving record
  • ET (Electrical Training) Certification (Not required but preferred)
