Job Description:

JMDF Investments (JMDFI) has an position open for a highly skilled, motivated, self-driven go-getter. In this role, you will be responsible for stripping, sanding, staining, painting and finishing a variety of wooden surfaces, including but not limited to doors, mantels, furniture, and countertops. This role must know how to sand, paint, stain, how to use of various finishes, along taking apart doors and hardware. Our ideal candidate has very strong experience in woodworking or a related field and demonstrates attention to detail in their work. This position will play an essential role in organization reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities - this role will work as carpenter/wood refinisher in the shop and in the field. In addition, the role will oversee the following:

• Prepare surfaces for finishing, including sanding and cleaning.
• Apply finishes such as stain, paint, and lacquer to wood surfaces using spray guns or brushes.
• Set up and operate power or hand tools associated with finishing work.
• Inspect finished pieces for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform minor repair work, including filling in cracks or fixing broken pieces.
• Match colors and finishes to specified samples.
• Assist in other areas of the woodworking process as needed.
• Work with customers to determine color, stain, and finish preferences.

Requirements:

· A person who is able to work part-time or full time or contractual.

· Wood Working / Carpenter background a must.

· Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Should be proactive and self-motivated. Strong work ethic, integrity and attention to detail are essential.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Detail oriented, self-starter, well organized, able to handle multiple projects at any given time, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

· Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills essential.

· A problem solver with excellent customer service skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
