Estimator/ Purchaser

Standard Boiler Tank & Testing Services is looking for a detail-oriented Estimator who will create accurate estimates for our above ground storage tank & millwright projects. The Estimator is responsible for creating accurate estimates by understanding "Request for Quote" documents and requirements, gathering information and analyzing important metrics.

The Estimator should have excellent numerical skills, grammatical awareness and an analytical mindset. Must be thorough and apt in managing relationships with key persons. The Estimator should have experience in the above ground storage tank industry.

Responsibilities includes:

• Review and analyze the project and its requirements.
• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering request for quotes, drawings, specifications and related documents.
• Identifies labor, material and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents.
• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material and time requirements.
• Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
• Collect and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors.
• Analyze risk and develop estimates based on the Estimators analysis results.
• Participate in planning of schedules, manpower needs, etc., providing consultation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
• Must be proficient in English writing and grammar.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel.
• Work, Outlook and Project. Adobe preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the above ground storage tank industry.
• Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
• Detail oriented, excellent organizational skills.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment screenings, i.e., background and drug screen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
