About the Role

The Company is in need of an Assistant Vice President of Underwriting, Credit & Surety to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving economic profit from credit and surety clients within a specific geographical area. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a strong track record in the surety underwriting field, at least 3 years of experience, and a deep knowledge of the surety product and market. The AVP will be expected to assess and cost credit and surety reinsurance products accurately, provide high-quality underwriting analyses and decisions, and offer reinsurance solutions that align with client's marketing objectives, regulatory constraints, and profitability targets.Key responsibilities for this position include analyzing treaty and facultative business for risks, exposure, and profitability, providing underwriting recommendations in compliance with company guidelines, and maintaining a diligent approach to underwriting and claims management. The role also involves regular interaction with insurance clients, brokers, and professional service providers to stay abreast of market trends and opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and conceptual skills, high interpersonal skills, and a "can do" attitude, and will be a great team player capable of bringing individuals together across different countries and functions. Professional education and a willingness to travel are also required for this role.
