Impact:

As our Paralegal in our Employment Litigation department, you will work with our attorneys to help scale the firm’s employment practice, to service the ever-growing number of Californians who have been illegally discriminated against, harassed, unfairly compensated, subjected to a unfair hostile work environment and/or wrongfully terminated.

Daily Tasks:

• Draft demand letters and discovery
• Witness interviews
• Create damage models for wage/hour cases
• Facilitate document production (hard copy and electronic formats)
• Management of litigation databases and support of electronic discovery processes
• Prepare, serve and follow up on subpoenas
• Assist at trial, including tracking exhibits and coordination of courtroom equipment to present electronic evidence and exhibits
• Strong working knowledge of E-discovery
• Management of cases from pre-litigation through settlement, with the support of a strong staff and advanced automated systems that optimize case efficiency (including CompuLaw, NetDocuments, Clio, and others)
• Deposition experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent research and writing skills required
• Draft correspondence and regularly communicate with clients, experts, and defense counsel
• Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Bring a team-oriented and positive attitude to our Los Angeles office.

Your Skills:

• Experience with employment disputes including wrongful terminations, FEHA claims, labor code violations, PAGA and wage and hour claims.
• Excellent oral and written communications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Able to problem solve
• Strong organizational skills and accuracy
