Jindal Films is an expert in the development and manufacture of specialty films for flexible packaging and labeling markets. Within Flexible Packaging, Jindal Films provides films that lead the market in terms of barrier to moisture, oxygen, and flavor & aroma.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This employee will perform raw material planning duties and manage inventory supply to a level that prevents stocks outs. Employee will be tasked with building and maintaining relations with customers and vendors with the goal of achieving consistent, on-time delivery.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Employee will be responsible for using independent judgment when coordinating their daily schedule to order flow, navigate through priorities, and meet with manufacturing supervisors and section leads
• Ongoing review of inventory to align to site budget targets and continuously assess opportunities to optimize inventory
• Develops appropriate metrics and action plans to ensure customer/business needs are met.
• Employee will maintain good communication with Customer Service to keep them informed on order status.
• Proactively identifies potential risks to this flow and effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve.
• Employee will work directly with the company’s customers and vendors in building relationships and solving problems
• Employee will manage inventory
• Employee will at times, attend meetings with members of the planning department; along with other departments for purposes of business needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related fields.
• SAP experience and advanced Excel experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Material planning experience preferred.
• Inventory experience preferred
• Solid understanding of films production processes.
• Good math & computer skills and ability to think analytically.
• Good oral and written communication skills to communicate plans, statuses, and metrics.
• Works well under pressure.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work environment is that of a manufacturing plant environment. May be noisy at times. Work is conducted mainly in an office environment. Mostly sitting and typing duties that consist of looking at a computer screen and talking on a landline telephone. Manual finger dexterity and ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Required: Fluent with SAP, Excellent Excel, must have a college degree in Supply Chain or Inventory Management or similar, Experience from industries such as manufacturing or grocery stores/warehouse, etc
  5-7 years of experience in Inventory Management, as a Material Planner, or Supply Chain
