SUMMARY:

We are in pursuit of an ambitious and dynamic Store Manager to join our team in the retail sector of agricultural supplies, offering a highly competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will oversee retail operations, implement sales strategies, and nurture client relationships to expand our market share in vineyard products.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategically generate a robust pipeline of potential clients by leveraging diverse sources such as media, directories, industry advertisements, trade exhibitions, and digital channels.
  • Lead the in-store team in proactive outreach, ensuring a consistent and personalized customer experience that strengthens client relationships and loyalty.
  • Directly engage with customers to understand their needs, offering expert advice and solutions tailored to their unique requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior management to prepare and deliver compelling responses to bids, tenders, and contract negotiations to secure and retain client contracts.
  • Implement innovative sales strategies and conduct market analysis to identify potential growth opportunities and areas for expansion within the local market.
  • Initiate and drive cold calling campaigns to develop a broader customer base, utilizing a consultative sales approach to understand and address client needs effectively.
  • Foster and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations, positioning the company as a trusted partner in agricultural supplies.
  • Diligently track business transactions, prepare accurate sales forecasts, and manage expense accounts to maintain financial accountability.
  • Attend and contribute to sales meetings, stay abreast of industry trends, and actively participate in training sessions to refine sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain an inclusive, positive work culture that encourages team collaboration and continuous improvement in customer service standards.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the store’s operations and strategic objectives.
  • Develop, track, and enhance the "store profit and loss (P&L)" strategy to increase overall sales and gross margins, ultimately leading to higher profitability.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, Agricultural Business, or a related discipline, providing the requisite knowledge and skills for the position's requirements, coupled with at least 3 years year of demonstrated success in a managerial or supervisory role in retail. Alternatively, candidates with a High School Diploma/GED and at least five years of experience in a relevant retail environment are also encouraged to apply.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong presentation skills for both individual and group settings, targeting customers, clients, and colleagues, backed by exceptional verbal, written, and customer service abilities. Proficiency in mathematics, computer literacy, and experience with SAP or equivalent enterprise/store management software are essential. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous but not mandatory.


CERTIFICATES LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

A valid driver's license with a driving record that is insurable by the company's standards, along with appropriate personal car insurance, is required.
