CNC MILLS OPERATORS & SETUP

FULL TIME DAY SHIFT (no part time available)

Shift 6:00 am - 3:30 pm 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off)

JIMS Machining is an established company located in Camarillo California that has been manufacturing for over 50 years. We are a leader in the V-Twin aftermarket industry; producing high performance parts, tools, transmissions, and engines distributed across the World.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Regular and timely attendance.
• Responsible for the proper operation of a CNC Machine, which includes:

1. Monitoring tool use and making changes as necessary.

2. Identifying machine tool and fixture issues before they become major issues.

3. Seeking Supervisor or Manager help to resolve such issues.

4. Ensuring machines are maintained in a clean and proper manner.

5. Use of proper machine shop practices on a day-to-day basis.

• Responsible for the proper shut-down of a CNC Machine.
• Ability to communicate technical instructions.
• Ability to communicate with others effectively in both written and verbal fashion.
• Verifying parts by using precision measuring equipment.
• Changing tools and offsets based on cutting conditions.
• Using the proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills

Job Specifications:

• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working on Lathes and or Mills as operator (setup experience a plus)
• General knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading and inspection tools
• Work with little or no supervision.
• Responsible to support and comply with JIMS Human Resources/Safety Program, which includes:

1. Use of Personal Protective Gear

2. Reporting injuries

3. Wearing proper clothing and shoes

4. Working in a safe manner
