Jim Young Alliance is Hiring a 3rd shift Forklift Operator Near Galt, CA
Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced 3rd shift Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
3rd shift is M-F 5pm-3am
Duties:
- Operate a forklift to transport materials within the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift or other heavy equipment
- Stack and organize products in designated areas
- Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate records of materials handled
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar environment
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on forklifts
- Ability to operate other heavy equipment such as order pickers or hi-lo is a plus
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying inventory
- Experience with warehouse management systems is preferred
