Jim Shorkey Auto Group is looking for a Full-Time Experienced Automotive Technician to join our team in Gainesville. 

• Experienced Automotive Technician Responsibilities:
• Able to diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, steering, brakes, suspension, transmission, air conditioning, etc.
• Complete service and repair assignments efficiently, safely, and correct, to pass quality inspections set forth by dealership and manufacturer quality standards
• Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques

Requirements

 Experienced Automotive Technician Qualifications: 

• Successful completion of an accredited program in vehicle repair and maintenance; AND THREE (3 ) years of experience in the repair of vehicles in an auto shop/dealership; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Used car experience.
• ASE Certification in light or heavy truck repair is a plus!
• Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment (such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.)
• Strong Automotive knowledge
• Maintain sufficient personally owned tools in good working order.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR (no traffic violations/citations).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

We are offering up to a $7,500 sign on bonus only to those who meet all qualifications!

This is broken down as follows:

$1500 after 90 days 

$2500 after 6 months 

$3500 on 12 month anniversary.
