Job Summary:
The Assistant Express Lube Manager at Jim Norton Toyota - Tulsa is a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the dealership's express lube department. The main responsibility of this position is to assist the Express Lube Manager in overseeing the daily operations, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring timely and high-quality service to our valued customers. This is a full-time, salary position that requires previous experience in the automotive industry and excellent management and customer service skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $40,000 to $60,000 per year, paid semi-monthly. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Express Lube Manager in day-to-day operations, including scheduling and customer service.
- Manage a team of technicians, delegate tasks, and maintain a safe and productive work environment
- Ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner, meeting the dealership's quality standards
- Perform lube, oil, and filter changes, tire rotations, and other basic vehicle maintenance tasks as needed
- Communicate with customers to explain services and address any questions or concerns
- Keep track of inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train new technicians and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve performance
- Maintain accurate records and reports for the express lube department
- Adhere to all safety and compliance standards set by the dealership and relevant laws and regulations
- Assist with the implementation of new processes and procedures to continuously improve the express lube department.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in the automotive industry, preferably in a management role
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage a team and delegate tasks effectively
- Proficiency in basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Knowledge of diagnostic equipment and tools
- Familiarity with inventory management and record-keeping systems
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
