Job Description

The Rental Agent provides exceptional customer service when responding to customer calls and inquiries and promotes the company's full line of products and services to gain reservation commitments and to sell additional products that enhance the customer's rental experience. The Rental Agent must develop, implement, and continuously engage in strategies to meet customer expectations. In addition, he/she will be responsible for moving and cleaning vehicles.

This Rental Agent will be working primarily at our Downtown location at: 2001 Oak Street.

The ideal candidate has some post-high school education or training and at least two years of experience in a customer service or sales role. Candidates must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong administrative and organizational skills, good computer and phone skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Answers customer inquiries in a friendly and professional manner and provides correct information on fleet availability and price quotes
• Suggests add-on products and services to customers
• Reviews rental parameters with all customers to ensure a complete understanding of rates and service charges at time of pickup
• Verifies the return date and time on the rental agreement is accurate and reviews all charges at the time of vehicle return
• Maintains records of customer interactions and transactions
• Handles customer concerns
• Manages all required paperwork and records and prepares documentation (forms, reports, etc.) when needed
• Cleans and maintains vehicle readiness
• Helps with cash handling duties for rental contracts, parts purchased, and services performed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
• Two years of experience in a customer service or sales role
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
• Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
• Highly professional and dependable
• Excellent telephone skills
• Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
