Job Description

The Quick Lane Team Leader is critical to a great customer experience. The Quick Lane Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the Quick Lane technicians and dispatch work to meet the demands of our customers. The Quick Lane Team Leader will work shoulder to shoulder with the Lube technicians and Commission technicians to expedite repairs and services performed at Quick Lane. The Quick Lane team leader will keep inventory of shop tools and provide support to make sure all technicians have the right tools to perform their tasks. The Quick Lane Team Leader will focus on achieving timely repairs and communicates any delays to the Advisors or Manager. The Quick Lane Team leader will also be responsible for shop productivity, training, and development of the team. The Quick Lane Team Leader will clearly demonstrate our core values of Integrity, Respect, Professionalism and Excellence.

We are looking for 2 years of technician experience with Quick Lane or Ford, some leadership responsibilities along with the vision to be proactive in problem solving, and a clean driving record. We're looking for an effective teacher/mentor with excellent interpersonal skills and strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversees staff, which includes dispatching work
• Assumes responsibility for reducing the frequency of technician mistakes
• Ensures that all completed repairs have gone through quality control and/or a road test
• Maintains current knowledge of vehicle operation
• Organizes, monitors, and procures special tools
• Ensures technicians are following proper repair processes
• Ensures that the required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
• Provides coverage in key areas for vacations and unplanned absences
• Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
• Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required and leads meetings as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of technician experience
• Must have the ability to be a good teacher and mentor to the staff
• Leadership experience preferred
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
• A pleasant and friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
• Highly professional and dependable
• Excellent interpersonal skills while interacting professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
• Strong computer and internet skills
• A clean driving record
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance
• Must be able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles

Quick Lane Schedule

Must be available to work a schedule Monday - Saturday with M-F 7:30 - 5 and Saturday 8-5.
