The Parts Picker will help pull wholesale parts and orders and organize the flow for delivery and must work well with a team and have excellent communication skills. The Parts Picker will support the parts department by putting stock away and maintaining good housekeeping for the department and supporting the dispatcher as needed.

The Body Shop Parts Counter Person must be knowledgeable about body and automotive parts and accessories and can accurately locate automotive parts within the current inventory or from other sources (such as the internet, vendors, other dealerships, etc.) Working closely with the body shop techs and estimators, the Counter Person will pull parts, assist technicians, and body shop estimators with their requests, and process body shop orders.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and experience with automotive parts and accessories. Candidates must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong customer service and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must be able to safely lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Processes body shop orders and pulls parts and delivers to the technicians
• Pulls parts from wholesale order for delivery
• Works with a diverse team
• Locates accessories or parts and arranges for installation
• Monitors parts inventory and maintains the storage area in good condition
• Completes any reports or logs
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One to two years of body shop or parts experience
• Experience working within a team
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
• Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
• Highly professional and dependable
• Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely
• Must be able to work regular schedule (M-F) and some Saturdays
