Jigsaw Developmental Services LLC is Hiring a Behavior Technician for Children (RBT) Near Surprise, AZ

$19 - $28/HR *Depending on experience & certifications*

Full or part time in-home patient support

Afternoon/evening availability preferred

At Jigsaw, our team of experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst's (BCBA) leads a group of caring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) who employ effective methods to support children with autism and related developmental disorders. Together, we aim to enhance their lives by fostering essential life skills and enabling them to lead happy, independent, and fulfilling lives.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, or related field preferred
  • Minimum one-year professional experience in special education, special needs, or related fields
  • Passionate about working with children in pre-school, elementary, or middle school settings
  • Extensive knowledge in supporting children with autism and other disabilities
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT), or similar credentials preferred
  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. routinely
  • Reliable transportation

Responsibilities
- Conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children with autism.
- Implement behavior intervention strategies to support the social and emotional development of children.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care and progress monitoring.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize psychotherapy techniques to support children in managing challenging behaviors and developing coping skills.
- Provide patient care and support during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in autism intervention.
- Utilize special education techniques to adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and cultural competence when working with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of the children.
