The Assistant General Manager performs all duties in the absence of the General Manager as well as is responsible for the people, process, and results of the store. In addition, the assistant General Manager must be able to implement operations to generate additional sales and achieve established KPI’s.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the store
• Making inventory orders
• Receiving inventory items
• Recording all inventory activities on the store POS
• Hiring & Coaching employees
• Supervise lube center and if applicable repair center
• Perform lube services along with your technicians
• Address customer needs and concerns
• Store maintenance through staff and vendors
• Manage cash and credit card activities
• Labor Management including scheduling, and controlling labor costs
• Training on the job as well as promote timely completion of Jiffy Lube University training modules
• Promote adherence to company policies and procedures
• Manage and enforce Environmental, Health & Safety (EG & S) compliance
• 1 year of management experience
• Basic mathematical ability (adding, subtracting, and percentages)
• Ability to communicate in English (written or orally)
• Ability to use the internet, computers, and complete documents on tracking forms
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Willingness to undergo on the job training

Physical requirements:

• Able to lift over 50 pounds (occasionally)
• Able to withstand long periods of standing (up to 12 hours)
• Able to work in extreme temperature conditions
• Able to go up and down stairs regularly
• Able to bend, reach and stoop
