We have a great opportunity to join our team as a Part-Time Counter Sales Representative in Fairmont, MN. This is an on-site position that will provide quotes, sales and service, and will work with internal and external customers to ensure company goals are met and long-term positive customer relationships are cultivated.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service including order entry, expediting, follow-up, shipping, billing and other sales tasks required.
• Initiate customer contact and perform timely follow-up of inquiries.
• Maintain counter area displays and merchandise product.
• Develop quotes and pricing for customers jobs.
• Pick, fill and pack orders on a timely basis to ensure prompt and accurate deliveries.
• Receive and stock incoming products on a timely basis for prompt availability.
• Assist with areas of the warehouse.
• Follow safety rules when lifting, managing heavy material, and operating equipment.
• Maintain neat and orderly work areas to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in electrical and/or plumbing wholesale/distribution.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Solid math skills.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Self-motivated and self-starter.
• Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and collaborate within a multi-functional team.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Detail oriented, organized, consistent and tenacious.

This position will require frequent: bending/stooping, squatting, climbing, crouching, reaching above, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and occasionally lifting up to 50lbs throughout the working shift (the buddy system is highly recommended). Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
