Don't like long haul? Would like to be home after a long day of work? We're looking for a hard working delivery driver who wants to get in shape while on the job. You won't need a gym membership working here. We're a distribution wholesale food company that provides white glove delivery service! We will hire a non-CDL license driver. After 1 year of continuous employment, we will support and train in house for your CDL license.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers
- Load and unload products from the vehicle using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or hand trucks
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders before leaving the warehouse
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and road safety procedures
- Familiarity with using GPS devices or navigation apps for efficient route planning
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Note: Experience with refrigerated trailers or van driving is a plus, but not required.
