QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: High School or equivalent. Driver must be able to perform basic mathematics functions. Must be a good communicator/listener. Must have a valid, current New York State Driver License. Class CDLC with P and N1 endorsement and 19A certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE: At least 3 years of driving experience with some bus driving experience preferred. Working with the elderly, and experience, with clients using wheelchair strongly preferred. Commercial Drivers License (CDL) preferred.
RELATION TO OTHER POSITIONS: Daily contact with and ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, volunteers and the general public.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS: Sits rarely. Must be able to manage the drop off and pick up of numerous people at a variety of locations and lift walkers for storage in vehicle trunk. Will on occasion be exposed to stressful situations. Physical work intensity level 4.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Vehicles are equipped with heat and air conditioning. Office setting is shared among staff.
ADVERSE WORKING CONDITIONS: May be exposed to infections, disease and disagreeable odors. May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents and family members.
VARIABLES: Will be required to occasionally work holidays, weekends, and nights.
