Learning and Job Skills Coordinator
Springfield, MA
The ESL instructor plays a crucial role in JFSWM’s Learning Program, leading English language classes and assisting with general program functioning. This position will contribute to the success of the program and positively impact the lives of clients.
· Leading, planning, and teaching ESL classes managed by JFS
· Referring clients to community partners and following up on their enrollment processes
· Teaching and assisting Digital Literacy sessions
· Helping clients navigate internal and external learning and vocational programs
· Assisting volunteer and assistant teachers in class preparation and material building
· Supporting the Learning Coordinator with the JFS ESL Coaching Program, including coach/ learner matching
· Tracking weekly attendance and updating client information in program databases
· Co-administering the WhatsApp groups for ESL classes
:
· Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
· Fluent in English, proficiency in at least one other language preferred.
· Experience working with diverse populations, particularly refugees or immigrants, and sensitivity to cultural differences.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and access to a reliable vehicle.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
· Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn new software programs.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing program needs and work occasional evenings or weekends, as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
