COMPASSIONATE CARE FOR SENIORS COMPANION PALM COAST (Part Time)

MALE PREFERRED

Primary Job Responsibilities:
The companion will complete training in topics related to human development and interpersonal relationships, nutrition, shopping, food storage, use of equipment and supplies, planning and organizing of household tasks and principles of cleanliness and safety.

Russian speaking/understanding applicants preferred.

The companion responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

to provide companionship for the client and stimulation for the client
to provide escort services such as taking the patient or client to the doctor
to provide preparation of meals and snacks according to the client’s dietary needs
to provide light housekeeping including changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and laundry
to accompanying the client to doctors or other appointments
to report any unusual incidents or changes in the patient's or client's behavior to the Compassionate Care for Seniors Coordinator or Social Workers
Companions will be responsible for providing to client and Coordinator copies of any documentation which reflects the services provided. This will be stored by the Coordinator in the client's file.
Participating in in-service education programs.
Other duties as assigned.

Employee May Not:
1. Administer or pour medication as mandated by law.
2. Cut the fingernails or toenails of any patient.
3. Perform any personal care for the patient including toileting, hair care, oral hygiene, bathing and grooming.
4. Assist with ambulation when patient uses mechanical aids such as a walker.
