JOB DESCRIPTION: TOPS ENRICHMENT DAY PROGRAM FACILITATOR

Reports to: Supervisor, TOPS Program 

Primary Responsibilities: Provide support and programming assistance in the TOPS (To Our Positive Success) Enrichment Day Program

Specific Responsibilities:

• Assist with the creation and implementation of educational and enriching programming ideas
• Develop and lead activities and programs
• Facilitate appropriate social interactions among the group participants and assist with their participation in group activities 

• Help mediate any conflicts during programming
• Represent TOPS program to prospective and participating families and other members of the community

• Assist with coordination of transportation for the participants
• Participate in continuing education courses as mandated by state agencies and JFCS
• Provide needed support to TOPS Supervisor which could include: arriving early or staying late as needed, obtaining or replenishing supplies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in psychology, counseling, teaching or related field OR
• One years experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Ability to interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner
• Candidate must be empathetic, compassionate, independent and have the ability to have fun

Valid driver’s license, registration, insurance and good driving record
