AFTER CREW TEACHER

MAYERSON JCC

The Mayerson JCC connects people so that they can live happier and fuller lives, creating a more vibrant Jewish community. The JCC helps to foster social connections between its members and guests alike, bringing people together through a wide variety of programs and events. With an expansive fitness center, highly regarded early childhood and senior centers, top arts and cultural events, and classes for every age, the JCC connects, enriches, and inspires over 27,000 visitors per month. The JCC welcomes everyone, regardless of race, religion, or ability.

POSITION SUMMARY

The After Crew Teacher is responsible for implementing and operating the daily activities of the After Crew Program; as well as providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. The teacher’s primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth functioning of all aspects of the program. The responsibilities represent an average of 20-25 hours per week, with some weeks less and others more during the academic year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Implement and participate in daily lesson plans.
  • Oversee all daily aspects of the program.
  • Prepare room and snack for children as needed.
  • Maintain and confirm accurate records for all children and families including, but not limited to, daily attendance records and parent’s signatures.
  • Manage and maintain program supplies including, but not limited to, snack supplies.
  • Supervise the dietary and health care needs of all children.
  • Maintain a healthy, clean, and safe environment.
  • Communicate effectively with children and their families.
  • Complete professional trainings to align with our licensing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school graduate who has experience working with elementary age students.
  • Leadership skills, excellent communication skills, strong organizational and management skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

$15/HOUR
