Job Title: Wash Bay Technician

Job Summary: The Wash Bay Technician is responsible for ensuring that all construction vehicles, equipment, and machinery are kept clean, well-maintained, and presentable. This role involves performing thorough cleaning, detailing, and upkeep of construction vehicles and equipment to support the efficient operation of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and detail construction vehicles, including trucks, excavators, skid steers, scissor lifts, and other heavy equipment.
• Wash, wax, and maintain vehicle exteriors to remove dirt, grime, and debris accumulated during construction activities.
• Vacuum, scrub, and sanitize vehicle interiors to remove dust, dirt, and debris, ensuring a clean and safe working environment for operators.
• Clean and polish windows, mirrors, and headlights for optimal visibility and safety on construction sites.
• Pressure wash and degrease engine compartments and undercarriages to remove oil, grease, and other contaminants.
• Apply protective coatings and sealants to vehicle surfaces to enhance durability and resistance to environmental elements.
• Inspect vehicles for damage, wear, and mechanical issues, reporting any maintenance or repair needs to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly stored.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries while performing detailing tasks.
• Collaborate with the Equipment & Fleet Manager to coordinate detailing schedules and priorities.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in automotive detailing, preferably in a construction or industrial setting is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and techniques specific to construction vehicles and equipment.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment, such as pressure washers, steam cleaners, and vacuum systems.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning and detailing construction vehicles and equipment.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform cleaning tasks in outdoor environments and on heavy machinery.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and construction personnel.
• Flexibility to work flexible hours to accommodate construction schedules.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to construction site operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
